DO YOU FANCY YOURSELF AS A STAND-UP COMEDIAN? OR A SPOKEN-WORD ARTIST?

On September 25, the Warwick Wingding – Peckham’s Music and Arts Festival – will be expanding into comedy, with talent corner for local comedians to take to the microphone.

We are looking for local talent to take part in the Wingding, a small local festival which runs annually in Warwick Gardens on Lyndhurst Way from noon to 8pm.

This year, on the main stage, we will have bands, choirs, soloists, rap artists – and in the Ivy House Beer and Talent Tent, a line-up of spoken artists. (To get some idea of last year’s event, log on to [www.youtube.com].)

Is one of those spoken artists or comedians you? If you are keen to show Peckham your talent, email Pull The Other One at comedyarts@googlemail.com.
Hi,

I moved to Nunhead recently and I'm hoping someone can suggest things I can do with my 13 month old daughter? There really are only so many times I can push the buggy round the duck pond and it'd be nice to meet some other local Mums, as well as giving her some new things to do. She's not walking yet so would need to be ok for a crawler and as I'm now bck at work I'm limited to Mondays and Tuesday or the weekend.

Thanks

I understand there are kids ballet classes at Ivydale and possibly also Harris schools. Can anyone advise what age kids can start from and any contact details? Is the Ivydale one for kids at the school only or can any kids go along? My 4 yr old doesn't start school till Jan and would love to start ballet before then.
Thanks!

Pool is so last year! Table Tennis is where its at for 2010 and we have recently taken delivery of a table.

We are going to run a weekly night, this is going to be Tuesday's however whenever the 'Famous Panelled Lounge' is not being used the table will be out so worth calling ahead.

At the moment it is free and first come first served, until we work out the best system.

We have 4 bats and plenty of balls, I played doubles last night for 2 hours lots of fun!

You can also plug your ipod in and listen to your own tunes as you play, so come and get involved.

Hope to see you soon.
